Happy New Year and the kickoff to National Mentoring Month!

Having started just two short months ago, I am simply amazed at the passion and dedication of our staff and volunteer board of directors. Thank you all for your wonderful support. During the leadership transition here at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle my purpose is simple – to continue to support our mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. I am excited about the new year and our efforts to continue to expand our reach across the Triangle!

To our donors – THANK YOU! Truly…with your support we are improving the power and promise of our youth.

As we move into National Mentoring Month, igniting our youth starts with little moments that lead to big change. A BIG thank you to all our volunteer mentors, past and present, who have dedicated their time to walk alongside young people and empower them to achieve their full potential. Be a force multiplier by challenging others to support the next generation and find out how to be a big at https://bigstri.org/. Share your mentoring story using #BeBig and inspire others to get involved.

Triangle Men – we especially need you. Journalist Katie Couric spoke with Scott Galloway about his new book, Notes on Being A Man. Although not unique to North Carolina, or here in the Triangle – we DO have a need for more male mentors. Reach out to us if you or someone you know is interested in giving a Little of their time to be Big.

Here’s to a 2026 where we continue to help the youth of our community. Happy New Year.
