The theme for the 2019 GSK Science in the Summer Camp is the Science of Me! From the building blocks of life to organ systems, youth will develop a deeper understanding of the human body. During the camp sessions, a licensed teacher/instructor and an assistant instructor teach curriculum; they will spend time exploring human biology through activities and experiments.
GSK Science in the Summer Camp is facilitated August 5-9, 2019, at the corporate office of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle (808 Aviation Parkway Suite 900 Morrisville NC 27560). The camp structure allows youth to attend each day (5 days total) for three hours per day. Parents/guardians are required to sign in/out campers, upon arriving and departing from the sessions; pick-up of campers should occur immediately following the end of each session. Although the camp does not provide lunch, a light snack is served during each session (provided by the camp instructors); please alert instructors of allergies and dietary restrictions.
